About us

At the beginning of the 1980s my parents, after the instruction of my grandmother, bought our first parcel in Pécsely, which after many challenges during the planting, became our first vineyard. The grapes grown there were made into wine, which was just more than the family could consume, but not quite enough to be sold either.

After the Regime Change in Hungary my grandmother passed her own little vineyard over to me, which I still keep very dear to my heart. During this time, along with my parents, we have aquired another hectare of vineyards at one of the auctions. This was the turning point where I first thought of starting our own family winery.

In 2002 we were able to buy more land and we planted another 4,5 hectares of vineyards to further diversify our variety selection, at this point we were working with 7,5 hectares of vineyards. In the spring of 2012 we planted a few new varieties, including Irsai Olivér, and reached a total of 11 hectares of acerage. By 2016 we have reached our current estate size of 18 ha by renting our vineyards in Balatonfüred, overlooking Lake Balaton.

We have been producing bottled wines since 2007, which are sold mostly locally to our partners near the shore of Lake Balaton and also on site at the winery in Pécsely. You can find our wines in many of the popular restaurants and hotels in the area.

We are still a family operated winery, we work with a small team and the members of the family still overlook and take part in most of the yearly works both in the vineyards and the winery. We aspire to improve ourselves year by year and we are proud of the fact that we have received the “Winemaker of the Year in Balatonfüred” title in 2011, 2015 and now in 2025 as well.

NOW

Nowadays we work with 18 hectares of vineyards and 12 grapevine varieties in Balatonfüred and Pécsely.

We keep our environment in mind as much as possible, we try to lower our impact year by year and still grow the best possible grapes for our wines. We believe that making excellent quality wine begins with growing excellent quality grapes!

We produce our wines in the heart of the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region on the Northern shore of Lake Balaton. Our winemaking is supported by a modern cellar, where we can work quickly and precisely ensuring high-quality fresh and fruity wines. The majority of our wines are made in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks and some are aged in Hungarian oak barrels to show the full potential of our varieties.

Our main goal is to ensure the satisfaction of our consumers by producing quality wines, that feel familiar and easy to approach.

FUTURE

We believe that have found the balance within vinegrowing and winemaking and now our goal for our consumers to know and understand our wines and we are working on achieving that.

Since most of our sales happen in restaurant on the Northern shore of Lake Balaton and in smaller stores we did not have the chance to talk to our consumers. In 2020 we have opened our winery and tasting-room to the public where we plan to be able to interact with our custumers and provide a great experience along with our wines to whoever visits us in Pécsely.

The Place Where We Live and Work

Pécsely is a village in the Balaton Uplands, with around 600 inhabitants, located in a basin which provides a unique terroir and microclimate as well. It is 10 km away from Balatonfüred and located North of Tihany, the two main tourist destinations of the region. There are archeological evidences that prove the area has been inhabited since the Romans.

The close proximity to the Lake Balaton, its natural beauty and its quiet atmosphere makes it a popular destination for hiking or just enjoying the surroundings. A castle ruin can also be visited near the village from where the view of the area and Lake Balaton is not worth missing out on.

People living here are characterized by their hard work ethic and their love for nature, their main focus is on agriculture, viticulture and winemaking. The location of the village provides a great microclimate for the vineyards as well.

Our Motto

Wine should be everyone’s.
Life is too short to drink bad wine.
We have to accomodate nature, we can not and should not change it.
Good wine can only be made from good grapes.
